Prospect by Ligzer is a Chrome extension designed to help freelance web developers and small agencies find leads, organize prospects, and draft outreach faster.
Information We Collect
Data stored locally in your browser
All lead data, project data, and API keys you enter into the extension
are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage
(chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.
License key information
To verify your purchase and activate the extension, we process your license key through Lemon Squeezy, our payment and licensing provider. As part of this process, Lemon Squeezy may return the following information to the extension, which is stored locally on your device only:
- Your email address (as provided at checkout)
- Your name (as provided at checkout)
- License activation count and limit
- Activation timestamps
We do not store this information on our own servers. It is held in your browser's local storage solely to display your license details within the extension and to avoid unnecessary repeat validation calls.
What we do not collect
- Web browsing history
- Personal communications
- Location data
- User activity or behavioral data
- Website content you visit
- Any data beyond what is described above
How We Use Information
All core extension functionality runs locally in your browser. No lead data, project data, or personal information is transmitted to us at any point.
License key validation involves a network request to Lemon Squeezy's API
(api.lemonsqueezy.com) to confirm your license is active. This request includes your license
key and a stable device identifier generated by the extension. No
browsing data or lead data is included in this request.
Third-Party Services
Lemon Squeezy
We use Lemon Squeezy to process payments and manage license keys. When you purchase Prospect by Ligzer, Lemon Squeezy collects your payment and personal details as the merchant of record. Their handling of your data at checkout is governed by Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.
The extension communicates with Lemon Squeezy's License API only to activate and periodically validate your license key. No personal data beyond your license key and device identifier is sent in these requests.
Google APIs
If you choose to use the Google Places import feature, the extension makes requests to the Google Places API using an API key you provide. These requests are made directly from your browser to Google's servers. We do not proxy, log, or receive the results of these requests. Google's use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
If you use the PageSpeed feature, the extension calls Google's PageSpeed Insights API. The same applies — requests go directly from your browser to Google, and we receive nothing.
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party data brokers.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties, beyond what is inherent in the Lemon Squeezy license validation process described above.
Data Retention and Deletion
All locally stored data (lead lists, project data, API keys, license details) can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's extension storage. We have no copy of this data and cannot recover it once deleted.
To deactivate your license from a device, use the "Deactivate this device" option in App Settings. This frees up an activation slot and removes the locally stored license information from that device.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the extension, legal requirements, or our privacy practices. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
